Mark it does and works well.  My chickens free range, I have my sheep and goats in a portable pen.  The first thing the chickens do when I move the pen is run to that spot to peck and scratch.  I've seen a lot less fly problems and I almost never have to worm unless we have a really wet spell for a long period.  I attribute less worming to the fact that they are never on the same ground for long.  I also don't have to keep bringing them back to that area every few weeks.  Maybe in a month and a half to 2 months.  So the life cycle has already been broken for most parasites.

Great job Debbie!

What I mean about using chickens is in controlling parasites.  Folks like Joel Salatin run chickens in his pastures (in chicken tractors) about three days after moving his cattle out of an area.  He claims that the chickens scratch through the dung and peck out the larvae that starts up.  I have don't know whether this could even apply to goats, but it was just an idea...

Thanks for the link!
