Young Living is the biggest rip off on the internet - takes people awhile to figure it out. Anyone interested in Essential Oils needs to order from here
http://www.aromaland.org
These are highest quality oils (Theraputic grade) you can get at far better prices. (No I am not a Dist. not a MLM)
Don't be fooled by Gary Young and his minions.

Okay, we can debate the merits, but to be fair I have to state as listowner, it's hard to stop commercial promotions once they get started on a list like this. As for being worth their weight in gold, I can't afford gold either ... And no one's arguing for plastic tablecloths, video games, or lab fragrances. They're bad, but that doesn't mean we need to shell out $700 for an essential oil "training". Further, we have no possible way of knowing which oils are adulterated or "poisonous" and which aren't and are supposedly worth a few months groceries. Personally I take special supplements like Zyflamend and IP-6 that are clinically proven, but I have yet to hear of clinical evidence for healing by smelling these oils. And it's safe to say my own ancestors didn't have rose petals and lavender soap.
I feel strongly about this thing of getting what you pay for. Frankly, I don't buy it. The food we get at Sunflower or Trader Joe's is as good or better than Whole Foods and at half the price. Life-giving foods and other needs can be had at lower cost if people make the effort and find a way. Reminds me of an old Joan Baez number, All My Trials: "If living were a thing that money could buy, Then the rich would live and the poor would die"...

Hey, Paul,
I know that you, of all people, know that you "get what you pay for" in
terms of food and health. Cheap distillation methods, additive
adulteration, and synthetic reproduction of fragrances make most
aromatherapy oils smell good - and poisonous. They are the equivalent of
factory-raised food.
Young Living Essential Oils and the Raindrop Training are both worth their
weight in gold, because the oils really heal people, and the training
helps you use them to their best effect. The level of training in what you
called "a commercial promotion" is far more than selling the company's
product. The use of fragrances in our daily lives is a lost art - one our
ancestors did every day without being aware that rose petals in their bear
grease, thyme and cedar in their closets and lavender in their soap were
actually healing them continually. The flowers on their tables that have
been replaced by plastic, the gardening that has been replaced by playing
video games and the lab fragrances in all our body care products are not
health -neutral. They are destructive.
Radical diet change is the core for improving health - but when we hit a
plateau where better food could do no more, learning about the therapeutic
value of essential oils opened up a whole new level of health and
well-being.
I'd love to see our living on the land companions growing the plants
needed to make therapeutic-grade oils more widely available and
affordable. It takes a lot of roses to make a tiny bit of rose oil -
hence the steep price tag!
All the best to you,
Laurie Ann
