I think the Whole Food example illuminates what inevitably will become a key
factor in the reorganization of consumer society. The idea is not to
foolishly beleive that we can eliminate this structure but instead to focus
on convincing the corporate boards that it is "in their interest" to
incorporate a set of ethics that includes the health of the people using
their products and perhaps even the welfare of the people producing them and
even better the planet that the resources were extracted from!

For storebought items we like Trader Joes &amp; Sunflower Market, much better
prices and in fact healthier. We haven't found any msg, HFCS or hormone meat
or milk in either store. No Heinz kechup either. They aren't ideal but far
better IMHO. And always very crowded ...
