A troubling article from someone who seems to know what he's talking about.
But it always amazes me that grain is seen as the most significant factor in
food production. It's as though people would automatically starve if vast
amounts of wheat, rice and corn weren't easily available. Those crops are
the most economical for agri-business, since they provide the raw materials
for most of our processed so-called foods. But they don't provide as much
nutrition for the space they take to grow as many others.
