A few years ago, we had the privilege of hosting a farmer who had worked
alongside Joel Salatin.

He told us the "recipe" they were using to keep the hog smell down: over
18 inches of wood shavings and and a handful of compost inoculated with
bacteria 5 friends' compost piles.

This is an article on Joel's Hog raisin'. I don't see the above pearl of
wisdom there, but since "neighbor friendly" agriculture is his forte,
I'll add that too.
