Yes, Sminis was acquired by Monsanto a few years back, but actually they
don't have GMO seeds except for field crops like cotton, corn, soy, etc.
That's where the money is due to the sheer volume of field crop seed sold.
So for home garden companies to claim the Safe Seed Pledge is a bit of a
no-brainer. I too commend Fedco for dumping Seminis. However, we buy from
small independents, mostly http://www.gourmetseed.com/ in Tatum, NM a
couple hour's drive from us. They have our heirloom tomato, chard, pepper,
& pole bean seed imported from Italy. If you want to avoid Seminis I
suggest talking to your supplier, ask where they get their seed.

I also included the state or country for each company to make it easier to
