There is no organic cotton seed meal available in the USA.  There is no manure from organically raised horses or cows.

 

There is no perfect solution and we live in the real world.  You do the best you can with what you have. To me for my garden, it is a matter of the lesser of the evils.  So I use horse manure.  The OM is more important than the salt in it or the medicines in it.  I find oats are the only thing that cames up from it. 

 

Using drip irrigation, a housewell can irrigate a lot of vegetables. A row of vegetables 100 feet long  needs 10 gallons of water every other day. We know this by the use of bucket drip irrigation kits we promote in developing countries.
