Harvey, that's about the best short piece on the subject that I've ever read
or heard. I don't think most people realize how difficult it is to talk
about such a massive subject in a manner that conveys the importance, and yet
remains hopeful. Thank you! ~Mitch
Thanks for kind words, Mitch. Actually that "remains hopeful" is a pretty tough sell, foremost to myself. At this event, I was one of many speakers who sketched the truly horrendous problems we face, the colossal scale, the historic momentum driving them, and the lateness of the hour. And then we had the unmitigated *gall* to pretend there is yet hope! But what else can we do? Even if we don't (logically) believe that, we have to live as if we do, in order to live a life that is at all meaningful.
