I recently contacted an older gentleman from the seed savers exchange catalog who explained to me the process of grafting the apple trees onto your own rootstocks. I saw that www.raintreenursery.com has the supplies and information on how to do this and would think that anyone with older apple trees could propogate them.
There's a large reliable apple tree on the property behind us that I would like to get some grafts taken from.
