I see. The object is to make efficient use of a permanent bed layout in the
space available. The exact arrangement can be rectangular or circular or
spiral or whatever. They can be raised or bordered or just wide rows at
ground level. In any arrangement, the formula for efficiency is beds just
wide enough to reach the center, and aisles just wide enough to get
through. My own beds are on a slight slope. The easiest way for me to make
level beds is to make rectangular beds perpendicular to the slope rather
than up and down the slope. You can get more creative depending on the lay
of the land.
