Thanks Pego,
I'm in a borderline foothills/mountains area in NC.  My garden this year was on a SW facing slope.  I planted a white dent, a burgandy dent and a blue dent corn I plan on saving the healthest of the seeds from this corn.  The squash types I planted were plane old crook neck yellow and zuccini. They got up so big and withered away and the deer and rabbits had a field day with the beans - I planted some sort of green bean - lol the label fell of the bag, a red sulfur bean and a red peanut bean, both the red varities were new to me even though my Dad planted a new variety to try every year.  Both will be keepers though as the few that lived to harvest were wonderful.  I also planted the old style sunflowers and they have done really well, a few cantaloupe seeds saved from last year and a few field pumpkins.  I'm still waiting on the melons and pumpkins to produce.  I had planed to plant gourds, but never got them in the ground.  Our summer this year has been either really hot and dry or really hot and humid .
