Okay, so Paul, you provided the math on the ethanol--
(whew!) i suppose the best way o "collect" the
biogasses would be to hook ahose up to all those
methane proding animals, so that it is captured before
the manure hits the ground.....
Some people seem to have forgotten, Ammonia IS a form
of nitrogen NH3 the Rodale institute had a very
nice article available through the NewFarm site on the
necessity of making sure the 'fertilzer' was covered
to prevent the volatization of Nitrogen. Now something
that was of interest this past month- the composting,
using some sort of ammending, to help tie the N to the
product. they even compared cow and chicken manures--
the amount of nutrient runoff after set time frames.
There is a way to reduce Non Point pollutants. There
was even a look at the issue of E. coli runoff.
Now, back to the mail--lots of catching up to do...
