Holen Arboretum is 3400 acres, most of it in a natural state--The only time I have seen or hear of a chemical being used, is for eratication of invasive wetland plants -- so herbicide was applied to an area where a new bed was going in-- .
The chemicals used there will be there at least 3 years and maybe more. HA is not organic. An organic gardener/farmer never uses chemicals; not even some organic chemicals such as nicotine.
