Bert:

Its likely cedar-apple rust; it is always around, more on hawthorn and apple. I've always had a little showing on the hawthorns and apple. This is the first year I've have it on my pears. Sulfur is the spray to use but not when it is hot as the sulfur will then burn.

Subject: [OFEX] pears orange spots

Good morning all
One of our daughters/sons-in-law have a pear tree with one orange spot on most, if not all leaves. A very tiny ant was observed apparently feeding on one of the orange spots.
Any diagnosis? Thoughts? Comments?
Thanks in advance                    Bert
