Joe, I think minimum temp depends on who you ask, also perhaps the variety, how it shuts down in the fall, etc. Sort of like grape hardiness.
I always prefer to be a live coward rather than a dead hero and use -30'F.          Cheers

I've read figs will survive down to 12°F.

During the cold snap my garage froze.  I had a pail of water next to the figs and it froze.

 

So are my figs dead?

 

My outside, low temp so far is -17.3F.  Not sure what the garage low temp was, but water froze.
