Hello All,

You can see what the fans look like in SW Ontario here;

Evidently, there are layers of cold air. If you can mix air from a warmer layer (higher), into the colder layer along the ground, you raise ground temperatures. Add a little heat and you have a real bonus.

You do not have to go very high to get a fan into one of these inversion layers.
