Hello,
Anyone have any volunteer apple seedlings from last year?
Just found a 10 year old tree (northern spy) that was girdled last winter, except for about 2 inches, all around at the soil line.
I need to inarch graft to save the tree, as depicted here;

(bottom left image)
This is a standard sized tree, so any volunteer apple, or quince seedlings will work. Bare root shipping is fine, and I will reimburse.
I am not sure how many I will need, but I think I can crowd in 3 seedlings.
I will have to reduce the canopy to reduce stress. That is OK with this particular tree.
Anbody got anything?
Thanks,
Tom
