Hi Tom and the gang,
Found your email after a long couple of work days at the farm, including the dormant oil and lime sulphur spraying. My emails are 120 and counting, so will have to deal with things on Monday, since I'm off to play with friends in Chicago, at a quilt festival. Having said that, I'm printing your info on ancient apples to enjoy on the plane.
I'd love to hear about these novels, or texts that you refer to, since these older books are such wonderful things to read and savour. Especially things from late 1800's and early 1900's.
Tom, you also mention having secured 2 of the 5 ancient apples. What varieties are on the list - or are they the Limoncella and Annurca?
I'm off to shower another time to rid myself of that wonderful sulphur smell. Powdery mildew - look out. I can't wait to see the look on the ladies faces at the quilt extravaganza, should the eau de rotten eggs still linger around my personage. I'm taking lemon wedges into the shower with me - since they helped when I had to deal with two dogs sprayed by skunks. I can't bring myself to use the canine hydrogen peroxide, soap and baking soda remedy for removing skunk odours and oils.
Happy warmer weather to you all, hopefully spring has truly arrived. Our horses seem to think so, since their winter coats are shedding like crazy.
Cheers, Bizmark.
