After Friday's Digital TV transition, UNC-TV has disappeared from my Raleigh televisions.

The UNC-TV website (http://www.unctv.org) has this to say:

"- SPECIAL NOTICE -

Some viewers of UNC-TV's over-the-air digital signal in the Chapel Hill area -- the signal from WUNC Channel 25 -- are experiencing reception problems following the federally-mandated shutoff of all analog television signals.

We believe the interference is caused by the low-power signal from another broadcasting station in Durham. UNC-TV is actively working on technical modifications that we hope will resolve or improve the situation soon.

Thank you for your patience as we address this problem."

... and I heard this from my brother today:

"I e-mailed them. They are upgrading their analog antenna to digital - they have a digital one already, but the strength is not enough to reach all their viewing areas (i.e. my house). Techie suggested better antenna or waiting 90-120 days for project completion."

Chapel Hill viewers can't even see the signal? And a low-power Durham station is supposedly to blame? You've got to be kidding.

What say you, INW viewers? Are you getting an over-the-air digital UNC-TV signal at your location? It's completely GONE in Raleigh, even with my mega-huge antenna.

Mark
