I use a Terk Technology HDTV VHF/UHF HDTV Indoor Antenna I bought from
Amazon for about $30, and the quality is usually outstanding. There are some
channels that give me problems sometimes (weather related?), but on a good
day I think I get 2 (Greensboro), 4, 5, 11, 17, 22, 28, 30, 40, 50. Each of
these stations has between 1 and 5 channels are programming, though most
have one HD, one SD, and one weather/news ticker channels.

I am not using a converter box, but rather directly to a 40" 1080p LCD TV. I
don't have cable, though friends with HD cable say the picture I get is
better, since they claim cable companies compress the signal more.

I live in South Durham, near Southpoint Mall, and YMMV depending on
location.
