Lead Real-time
Database Developer
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design and
development of a real-time embedded database for collecting and managing data in
sophisticated building automation products for the consumer market.
·
Flesh
out technical requirements for an embedded real-time database.
·
Lead a
team of 5+ people carrying out the implementation of a high performance, memory
based real-time database.
·
Ensure
performance and functional criteria are successfully met.
·
Follow
rigorous implementation processes to ensure applications are robust,
maintainable and have the lowest defect density possible.
·
Foster a
culture of design excellence incorporating best practices and successful design
processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
·
7 - 10
years experience developing a variety of real-time applications on UNIX or Linux
systems.
·
Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
·
Experience creating event driven,
asynchronous applications.
·
Thoroughly familiar with Unix IPC
concepts and available APIs.
·
Well
acquainted with database concepts and methods of ensuring data integrity.
·
Leadership qualities demonstrated
by significant product development from concept through to successful release.
Senior
Application Developer
Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading small teams
creating applications running within embedded Linux system.
·
Work
with project architect to design and develop applications running on real-time
embedded Linux systems.
·
Contribute to design
specifications.
·
Review
test plan development and implementation.
·
Lead
team members in the development of data acquisition and control
devices.
·
Conduct
code reviews and related quality process activities.
·
Software
development for real-time data acquisition, storage and
control.
Minimum Qualifications:
·
A
minimum of 5 years of experience in application development on Linux/Unix.
·
A
bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
·
Experience with event driven and
asynchronous application programming.
·
Excellent problem solving, computer
and programming skills.
·
Proficiency in C as used in
real-time systems.
· Familiar with basic networking and using communication protocols.
