I can tell you who NOT to use .. Seegars Fence company!

Despite the company president *being a neighbor of ours*, Seegars:

1. Put the fence well inside of our property line at one corner instead of along it.
2. Used warped 2x4s for two large sections along the back (eventually replaced after multiple complaints).
3. Put the gate hardware on completely wrong, leaving the gates to sag.
4. Put in 4x4 posts that were split entirely down the middle.
5. Did not secure some sections, which will give way when you press on them. I suppose I could
use them as extra gates and be happy I wasn't charged for them.

I was totally amazed at how shoddy things turned out, especially since the company president
lived literally a dozen doors down. How could he let this happen to any customer, but especially
one who was also a neighbor?

Needless to say, he moved out soon afterward. Bah, I'm still upset over this!

I guess the moral to the story is you should plan to take the day off and watch whomever puts it in
like a hawk. It's much easier to fix problems before the concrete sets.

Does anyone have a small-scale/budget fence contractor they can
reccommend? We need to build an area of fencing in our backyard w/
fencing our dog can't dig under or jump over, but the people we found
on the BBB site wanted $1000 to show up, and that's over budget....
