If you're looking for a place to await the release of the seventh and final book, you can't do better than Market Street Books in Southern Village. I think its amazing that people ages six to seventy will all be celebrating the release of a BOOK of all things! If that happens again in my lifetime I'll be very surprised. I'm going dressed as one of the few characters in the books who wears a goatee AND a hat. If there was someone with a goatee and was bald I'd have it made, but no such luck.

8:00 The Sorting--try on the Sorting Hat and see what your future holds!
8:30 Hats Off Theatre presents Harry Potter Improv with director Jen Daum--join her in creating "Chapel Hillwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
9:00 Costume Contest for kids--prizes in several categories
9:30 Howler Contest--best screeched reading wins the prize.
9:45 Weasley's Joke Contest--tell your best joke to win a prize.
10:00 Harry Potter Quiz Bowl--teams compete for great prizes.
11:00 Howler Contest--the best screeched reading wins the prize
11:15 Costume Contest for grownups--prizes in several categories
12:01am Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows arrives!

Events throughout the night:

Pin the head on the Nearly Headless Nick
Errol the Owl Toss
Magic wand-making
