And once you get the data back from the repair place, sit down and think about how many external FireWire/USB hard drives you could have bought with that money...

i used http://www.ecodatarecovery.com/ recently for a client's crashed
laptop drive. it wasn't cheap (about a grand) but most other places
charged more, their service was excellent, and they recovered everything
perfectly. highly recommended if the data is truly valuable.

Howdy all,

My brother-in-law and sister have experienced a hard drive crash and have
been trying to find someone to help them recover it. No luck so far (see
attached note).

Anyone have any recommendations?

Calvin:

I've got an update on the pc...like to know what you think.

We took it to a recovery person who was unable to get anything off if it.
He said he thinks the arm is moving back and forth over the media disk, but either can't or doesn't know where to engage the disk.

Do you know anyone who might be able to give up more insight into what
might be going on or how we might be able to recover?

Thanks!

Erik Johnson
