Job Title: UNIX Systems Administrator
Job Description: As a member of the UNIX Technical Services staff, you
will be primarily responsible for a dozen UNIX systems, as well as
being the alternate administrator on another dozen systems. You will
be involved in some of the following activities: installation and
configuration of new servers, installation and configuration of
software, analysis and troubleshooting of system problems, performance
tuning, patching, providing superior customer service, replacing or
adding hardware to servers, and rotating on-call duty. The servers
for which we are responsible include: IBM pSeries running AIX 5.1 and
5.2, IBM xSeries running RedHat Linux AS v3.0, and a wide variety of
Sun hardware running Solaris 7 through Solaris 9.
