Actually, I believe he was holstering the pistol at the time of the NG
(negligent discharge). When you carry a handgun in a holster, the muzzle is
often pointed at your foot or leg as you move around.
Good trigger discipline dictates you not have your finger on the trigger
when drawing or holstering. A good holster will not allow access to the
trigger while the weapon is holstered.
