I'm working on a full-conversion of an existing M$ Access database to a LAMP platform for my employer, a non-profit mortgage lender. Starting around early-mid April and continuing through June or July, I could use some part-time help from an experienced PHP/MySQL developer, ideally with some experience in the financial/investment sector, to assist me in the following areas:
* modularizing the code (maybe even to object-oriented PHP)
* securing the site and platform
* optimizing the performance of queries
* data modeling and statistical analysis
* potentially complex data-entry interfaces

I'd like to do much of the code-monkey stuff myself, your work would primarily consist of a mix of consulting (advising me of best practices and gotchas), code reviews, as well as some direct coding for things beyond my skill level. Most of your work could be done off-site, with an occasional on-site meeting. Once development is completed, I'm also interested in opening up the code-base as a FOSS project and would need some help with that.

If you're interested, please contact me off-line at jason AT self-help.org or 919-956-4450.

Thanks,
Jason
