<rant blood="boiling">

First, due process has gone out the window. By
simply labeling someone a "terror suspect" you can
be imprisoned all of that silly stuff guaranteed
by the Constitution. See:

http://newstandardnews.net/content/?action=show_item&itemid=1366

for more details on that.

Oh, and in case you thought you owned your property, guess again.
As if previous abuses of Eminent Domain weren't bad enough, the
government is now taking land from private property owners, so
it can be used for private commercial development. Basically,
they can force you to sell your house so Wal*Mart (or who ever)
can take your place:

And no, the notion that it's somehow "OK" because they pay
the owners "fair market value" for their homes is not true.
The "fair market value" of anything is a function of how
much the person that has the thing wants for it, and how
much somebody else is willing to give for it. Nobody can
tell you what the fair market value of your home is, and if
it's not for sell, then the value is, for all practical
purposes, infinity.

Hopefully the Supreme Court will nix some of the nonsense..
but I wouldn't count on it.
