Whether it does individual tracking or not is open to speculation, but I can definitely tell that my Tivo is trying to record shows that it thinks I might enjoy. Sometimes it makes some really weird assumtions, though. Example: I like to watch soccer. Earlier this year MLS soccer and EuroCup 04 got rolling at about the same time, and my viewing habits went from seldom to several games a week all of a sudden. Around the same time, my Tivo concluded that I might also really enjoy some nice Mexican soap operas and Spanish-language variety shows as well.
