Hehe, I'm in such a good mood, I'm not even going to challenge that duschebag
Plato for president flame. Yet.
Kudos to Michael C and Dasher for some quotes I enjoyed.
It's all one big circle, in that the Lincoln view was directly opposed to
Jefferson's view on the French Revolution, but then Jefferson was the
philosopher President. So who's smart? Oh, that's right, Mark is smart. Can't
wait for the public posting of stanines. Anywho...
...Sil also gave me another chuckle, much appreciated.
The gun thread was too detailed for my interest. I just think the purpose of
the founding fathers was to have some balance of power, at the bullets and
blood level. They had just beaten the best army in the world, with little
more than pop guns, and imagined a future military might similarly keep
powers in check. When I look at the trouble our crack soldiers have in
Somalia, Iraq, and VC, I wonder if the founders might not have been a bit
prescient. Okay, more than a bit.
And thanks to whoever posted the Werenotsorry.com link. (I can't say that
without hearing it in the voice of Pee Wee Herman as The Hamburger man in
Cheech and Chong's 'Nice Dreams'. "I'm NOT Sorry! Ha haha."
This was a treat, but of course expected,

Nice to see the sense of humor.
