Interesting point here. For anybody who's not familiar
with what the original author is referring to, North Carolina
has some of the most restrictive ballot access laws of
any state in the USA. I think only California requires
more signatures to get on the ballot for President, for example.

Anybody who feels like calling the SBOE or their state representative,
feel free. :-)

To be a qualified party in Iraq, you need 500 voters' names.  Iraq has roughly three times the population of North Carolina, that's why it's easy to see why NC requires more than 100 TIMES as many names.  ?!?!?

Of course, petitioning in Iraq could be more hazardous,... But LPNC has over 12,000 members; it'd be child's play to get 500 signatures.

New state motto: NC, less democratic than Iraq!  Vote for Our Rulers (only).
