And the argument that we wouldn't be paying much at the pump
disproving the oil connection I would take issue with -- this wasn't
so much a "war for oil" as in war-to-bring-cheap-oil-to-the-people, so
much as it was, if anything, a "war for oil companies". High prices
don't mean those companies are losing money. If anything very much the
opposite.
