That got me thinking, the "only people informed and aware enough" part.
So who, as a profession, has the most informed (and, I'd like to add,
unbiased) view of the world? Who is in a position to access or regularly
view the widest range of viable information?
I would say the media, but then again we all know how easily they're
spoonfed.
I would say the intelligence community, but as a tool of the state they
are extremely biased.
Then I thought of librarians ... the whole ILS crowd ... people who
generally take a non-judgemental approach to the collection of
information, any and all information. Neatly categorized and
associated...
Let's make a librarian the DCI. Let's make a librarian President.
