Out of sheer curiosity I let those .pif emails keep coming. I'd only get
a handful per day, so it wasn't too annoying. I noticed a nice little
pattern, not too exact but close enough to notice: they were all sent at
one of three times per day -- morning, lunchtime, or end-of-workday ...
the peak times for people to be checking email.
I also paid more attention to the headers and discovered the single
originating IP, at BellSouth. I sent a message to BellSouth. The virus
spam has since ceased.
