An Evening with Michael Moore

Michael Moore is the award-winning director of the landmark film Roger & Me, the story of his relentless quest to confront General Motors Chairman Roger Smith about the devastating effects that GM's downsizing had on the town of Flint, Michigan. His most recent documentary, Bowling for Columbine, is about the uniquely American culture of guns, fear and violence. Released in 2002 to much critical acclaim, Bowling for Columbine won an Academy Award for "best documentary feature," and is now the highest grossing narrative documentary of all time. It is credited with pioneering a new wave of high-quality non-fiction films that are also successful at the box-office. A producer, director and writer of such bestsellers as Downsize This! Random Threats from an Unarmed American, Adventures in a TV Nation (co-written with wife, Kathleen Glynn) and Stupid White Men, which was almost not released by the publisher in the aftermath of September 11, 2001 and went on to become the best-selling non-fiction book of 2002. On October 7, 2003 Michael released his fourth book, Dude, Where's My Country?. It debuted at #1 on The New York Times Bestseller List and has remained at or near the top ever since. Full Frame is pleased to welcome Michael Moore who will show clips from his documentary films and will discuss his work in film, television and writing with the audience.
