ARMAND & BLUESOLOGY NEWSLETTER
DECEMBER 1, 2003

This is another off topic newsletter but if you love the Blues I think
you'll forgive me. Gary Lee, the owner of the BLUE BAYOU CLUB in
HILLSBOROUGH, called me this evening to ask me to help get the word out
about BOBBY BLUE BLAND coming to his club THIS SUNDAY. Now, usually when
Bland comes to town it's as the headliner to the BULL DURHAM BLUES FEST,
so don't let this opportunity pass by. The following is copied from Gary's
email:

One-Time Opportunity - Blues and R&B Legend ....

Bobby "Blue" Bland

Sunday, Dec. 7 - 9:00 PM -- advance tickets $30

Blues Foundation's Hall of Fame (1981) -- Rock & Roll Hall of
Fame (1992)

Bobby's bad luck is our potential good luck. Bobby had a Dec. 7th gig
canceled and we have a rare opportunity to get him here at the Bayou this
coming Sunday. Here's the catch ... we've got to sell 80 tickets by tomorrow
night (Tuesday, Dec 2) to be able to afford to commit to the contract.
Anyone who knows Bobby's work will recognize this as a unique opportunity so
whether or not you plan to come, please forward this note to all of your
music-lovin' friends and give them the opportunity to catch Bobby's act ...
they'll be very grateful. If you're not familiar with Bobby, check out his
website at www.bobbybluebland.com.

Here's a few tidbits about Bobby's career ...
#1 on the R&B charts: Farther Up the Road (1957)
#1 on the R&B charts: I Pity the Fool (1961)
#2 on the R&B charts: Turn on Your Love Light (1961)
#1 on the R&B charts: That's the Way Love Is (1963)

Other commercially successful albums: His California Album
(1973); Dreamer (1974)
Bobby's complete discography embraces over 30 albums,
several of which includes such co-artists as BB King and Little Junior
Parker.

How to purchase tickets: Call the club at (919)732-2555
with Visa or Master Card. Or, come by the club tonight (until 1:00 am) or
tomorrow between the hours of 1:00 pm and 11:00 pm.

In the event that not enough tickets are sold to commit to
the show, all monies will be fully refunded.
