Actually, I think it was closer to 10,000 units. My Dad bought it for my Mom
after the major price drop from $10,000 to $2,000 (not a bad price for a
computer with an LCD display in 1997). At that price, you did not get the
Apple concierge service, but you did get the goodies (remote control for the
TV tuner, leather CD case, pen and pencil set, etc.).

I guess I suck :-( I guess even more since I have the TAM sitting on the
floor in the spare bedroom. One of these days I'll set it up again.
Though if I suck for owning a TAM, I will probably suck more when my 1.25GHz
15" PowerBook shows up this week (I hope) ;-)
