Yeah, but how many people have your name at your organization in the time period you were there? Remember, when you submit a resume its going to have your work history, and usually some personal information like hobbies slips out during an interview.

Plus, what's to stop me from impersonating any one of you on various message boards?

This type of thing rarely happens. And besides what makes you think this activity is untraceable?
