That's not nice to say that about the grits.

Though they are within their rights to sue, they're fricken stupid to do so. They could have attempted to come out with an alternative to Napster, but they want more control.

The reason iTunes Music Store has worked so well is that it actually works and lets you do what you want short of giving music to other people digitally.

I've yet to attempt to do something with my purchased ITMS songs that I couldn't do before. I can listen to them on both of my computers, and I can burn them to a CD to listen to them in my car.

Here's hoping that iTMS for Windows makes a difference. If 3% of the computer population buys 10 Million songs, wonder what the other 96% (1% is Linux) will do
