03-01-05. Health Information Director
Seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys multi-tasking. The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of existing databases. The work involves computer programming and developing interfaces with existing data systems within the Center, UNC Hospitals, and the School of Medicine. Developing and maintaining quality assurance programs and database documentation for users will be required. The candidate will manage all aspects of the Center's website. The candidate will oversee, trouble-shoot, and maintain computer equipment/support for employees of the Center. The individual will be expected to identify and make recommendations for creative solutions to improve efficiency of work and communication through the use of advances in information technology. Supervise social research assistants and possibly work-study and graduate students. The position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and preferably project management and supervisory experience. The position requires ACCESS database experience and preferably ORACLE. Microsoft certification preferred. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with people representing many different disciplines within the SOM and UNC Hospitals.Submit resume to:
