Wow, I wish I had written this!

Lawrence Lessig discusses the Japanese comic (Manga)
phenomena of dojinshi.

Dojinshi is a fan created manga based on a copywrited
commercial manga. Fans write new stories, alternate
endings and more.

Not only that, fans publish and share their dojinshi.

Now for the shocking part, the Japanese Content
Providers do NOT sue fans into submission and
oblivion. They actually encourage and use the fans to
further their commercial products.

Its hard to believe. Don't they realize that fans
want nothing more than cease and desist orders,
threats of prosecution, fines, jail time and DMCA
threats?

Thanks,
