And it's true, I would rather *own* electronics than diamonds, but I'd far rather receive diamonds as a gift. There's just nothing terribly romantic or sentimental about a digital camcorder or a big-screen TV. At least, not in my (apparently more traditionalist than I'd heretofore realized) little world.
