Come learn about Information Architecture (IA) from a panel of established
professionals!

What: Information Architecture 101
When: Thursday, October 24th (TONIGHT!!!) at 7:00 pm
Where: 209 Manning Hall

Never heard of IA? The field gained notoriety during the Internet Boom.
It blends Library & Information Science principals with Web Design. As
Webmonkey puts it: "Information Architecture is the science of figuring
out what you want your [website] to do and then constructing a blueprint
before you dive in and put the thing together."
/tutorial1.html

Our guest panelists will include:
* Samantha Bailey, Assistant Vice Presdient of IA at Wachovia
* Karen Kerley, Lead Architect, User Experience at Bank of America
* Hugh Cayless, Lead Developer, UNC Digital Library Project
* Scott Hanrath, Research Associate at Horizon Research & former SILS
student

The panel will be moderated by Todd Wilkens, a current PhD student at SILS
and former Information Architect.

We're excited to provide a panel of this caliber to the UNC
community. See you there!
