Nicholas Negroponte, co-founder and chairman of the MIT Media Laboratory,
Jerome B. Wiesner Professor of Media Technology at MIT, and Wired magazine
columnist, will deliver a free public lecture on Friday, November 1, at
7:30 p.m. at the Richard White Lecture Hall on Duke University's East
Campus. Mr. Negroponte will speak about technological developments since
the publication of his best-selling Being Digital. The event is sponsored
by the Duke University Libraries and is the inaugural William B. Weaver
Memorial Lecture.

Most East Campus parking lots are open to the public during evening hours.
