Ok, I started wondering how many cassettes it would take to store my
current CD collection, assuming the CD collection were ripped to MP3 and
saved to cassette via something like a Vic 20 (my very first computer). I
know that storage capacity of a cassette would vary (based, I'm assuming
on the length of the cassette?), but if we were to use a 45 min/side
cassette (and whatever data "compression" mechanism was common for
cassette drives), how much data could fit on one cassette?

(If you wanted to go ahead and "do the math", I'm working with 470 CD's
approx. Standard MP3 compression [128?].)

Any ideas, anyone? (Other than the "known" that I think way too much)

Thanks,

Gina

My brain seems to have a circuit-breaker-like mechanism that, when I get
confused and befuddled by the overwhelming monstrosities of my life,
causes a default to the simplest and most pleasant of thoughts. Like
Marshmallow Peeps. I *like* Marshmallow Peeps.
