Before the poison ivy thing gets completely played out, my
recommendation is to pull it by hand and compost it. Wear gloves, long
sleeve shirt, long pants, socks, washable tennies. Pull it by the
roots, use a tool to help dig. Compost it or send it to the yard waste
with a note on the yard waste container to warn the pick up people.
When you finish wash everything including tools immediately and take a
soapy shower. Repeat as it grows back. Its ridiculous but its what
I've done effectively.

The plus side is you buy no chemicals, store no chemicals, use no
chemicals, dispose of no plastic or chemicals, kill no non-target
plants.

I always thought 'Poison Ivy' was a cool Leiber/Stoller tune best
performed
by the Coasters, or perhaps a bad 90's movie with Drew Barrymore...

She comes on like a rose
but everybody knows
she´ll get you in Dutch,
you can look but you better not touch

Poison Ivy, Poison Ivy
late at night while you're sleeping
poison ivy comes a' creeping around
