I'll take the opportunity for a couple of plugs for local groups which you
might find interesting.

The Research Triangle Science Fiction Society is having a meeting this
Thursday evening in Durham with guest author David Drake. See our website
{http://rtsfs.org/} for details.

Trinoc-con {http://trinoc-con.org/} is an annual science fiction & fantasy
conference to be held this year October 4th-6th in Durham. Our Literary
Guest of Honor is Lois McMaster Bujold, our Art Guest Of Honor is James
Wappel, our Gaming Guest Of Honor is Dave Arneson, and our Special Guest is
NC Poet Laureate Fred Chappell. Other guests include John Kessel, Allen
Wold, Jim Baen, and Orson Scott Card.
