Actually, RR now offers dial-up service in certain areas. It's free thru the
end of the
year, then it'll be free for the first 10 hours of usage. I used it recently
on a trip to
San Diego. They've still got some bugs to work out of the system, of course
(some numbers
wouldn't connect, properly, others would allow a connection, then assign an
invalid IP),
but it's a reasonable solution.
