Corporation as zombie. Utenzi rises from the grave:
http://www.newsobserver.com/thursday/business/Story/506429p-504332c.html
"Pending approval from the U.S. bankruptcy court in Raleigh, the two
investors will take over the business in about two weeks, assume the
Utenzi name and hire 12 to 15 Utenzi employees to work in the building
that the company has rented in Cary. Former Utenzi Chief Executive Larry
Kaplan and other senior managers will "most likely not" be part of the
new company, Lee said.
"The deal comes as Utenzi, once known as InterLan, also is concluding
an agreement to sell about 120 of its 300 customer accounts to Verio, a
Englewood, Colo.-based Web-hosting company. Under that agreement, the
customers' Web sites will be administered from Verio's Web-hosting
facility in Northern Virginia."
Customers sold to Verio, equipment auctioned away, what assets are
left
for the 10-15 returning employees to operate (or even sit on)?
