I remember (10-15yrs ago) when friends of mine were very upset when
their local phone company made them dial 7 digit numbers to make local
calls instead of just dialing the last 5 digits (they were in Luray,
VA). People will get used to more TLD's as they become more common. In
10 years you'll be able to say "I remember when there were only 3 TLD's"
and kids will look at you like you're crazy, they will have always lived
in a world with more than 3 TLD's. And I've not dialed a 7 digit phone
number in nearly 2 years.
